A basic deployment

Starting a catalog service is straightforward. We use the startOgServer script in the ObjectGrid/bin directory. Let's see what we need to provide to the script when we invoke it:


C:\wxs\ObjectGrid\bin>startOgServer

Running this script without any arguments gives a lot of output describing the options used to start the different ObjectGrid processes. Let's look at the general startup options:

To start a ObjectGrid catalog server:
<server> [options]
To start an ObjectGrid container server:
<server> -objectgridFile <xml file> [options]
<server> -objectgridUrl <xml URL> [options]

Here are some of the catalog server-specific options:

Catalog server options: -catalogServiceEndPoints <server:host:port:port,server:host:port:port> -quorum ...
