Conclusion
In this chapter, we have explored the use of the Edge Components, which are included in the WAS Network Deployment package. We reviewed the function of load balancers and proxy servers, the base features of the Load Balancer and Caching Proxy included with the Edge Components, and then applied that to a few simple configuration scenarios. In truth, we have only scratched the surface of the features and possibilities for these useful products. Readers are again encouraged to read the Info Center documentation to explore the entire breadth of functionality available to them.
