In WAS-ND V5, there is a single logical namespace across a cell, which is implemented as a distributed namespace with a CORBA CosNaming server running in the deployment manager, node agent, and Server processes. As a result, most applications read from an application server image[8] of the namespace, which consists of persistent elements that are read upon server startup from the local XML document-based configuration repository, as well as transient namespace elements that are programmatically bound.
