Tools

As the system test, performance test, and pre-production environments are used for testing, there is a set of tools that no ideal environment should be without. These tools provide the ability to collect data that assists in defining baseline characteristics of the application. As changes and new versions are applied in these environments, the tools are used to both re-create the scenarios and provide data showing either an improvement or not. Some of these tools are also helpful in troubleshooting and problem determination.
