Ideal Development Environments

This document describes the ideal environment for WebSphere Application Server and closely related WebSphere products, such as WebSphere Portal Server. The word “environment” is used in the largest sense possible—it includes virtually every aspect of enterprise application ownership starting with development and finishing with production.

When developing large and complex applications using enterprise-class infrastructure, great discipline, care, and planning is required in order to ensure the greatest likelihood of success.
