ActiveX Clients

ActiveX components run inside a Visual Basic application from VBScript or an Active Server Page (ASP) container. The ActiveX to EJB Bridge must be installed from the Application Clients CD to support ActiveX interaction with WAS. The bridge is a set of ActiveX automation objects, and it provides an environment similar to the full J2EE client, which in addition to EJB access also allows ActiveX usage of J2EE resources such as JDBC and JMS through standard naming constructs.
