Overview of WebSphere Personalization
Personalization is about targeting Web content and applications to specific users based on certain information that is gathered and stored about them. This information is analyzed, and the user is presented with content that would be interesting to him or her. Personalization techniques can be used by a site to customize news feeds, provide specialized advice, target e-mail and advertising, and promote products.
