The TS4500 tape library supports Linear Tape-Open (LTO) and 3592 tape drives.
The high-density 2 (HD2) frames of the TS4500 tape library support HD2-compatible models of the TS1140 (3592 EH7), LTO 5 (3588 F5C), and LTO 6 (3588 F6C) tape drives. The IBM 3592 EH7 drive is the HD2-compatible model of the TS1140 Tape Drive.
