Chapter 13. Environment

Chapter 2, “Key Principles for Business-Driven Development,” discussed the principles that underlie successful business-driven development (BDD). One of them is Adapt the Process. The Environment discipline requires the Process Engineer and Project Manager to tailor a process framework to a project’s needs. The result is a roadmap for the extended project team that defines the rules with which the project will comply. This chapter focuses on the roles, activities, and artifacts involved in adapting a process, in this case the RUP.
