6.9. Assist the project management team to ensure successful implementation
Once the proposal has been accepted and the project is turned over to a project manager you might think that the responsibility of the solution designer has ended. This is often not the case, as the solution designer’s skills are needed from time-to-time during the implementation phase of the project.
The solution designer should assist the project management team to:
Establish rough estimates of the time and resources (people and technology) required.
Highlight the potential risk to the project introduced by design factors.
Assist with establishing acceptance criteria and project endpoint.
