Filtering a whole report
This recipe will show you how to filter the values of a whole report based on a data item that does not appear on the report. We will filter the report created in the previous recipe to show the values for a selected Product line.
Getting ready
We will use the report created in the previous recipe for this recipe.
How to do it...
In this recipe, we will filter the report based on a member which is not used in the report itself, as follows:
- Open the report in the Report Studio.
- Go to Query Explorer and open the query used by the crosstab on the report page.
- From the Source pane of Insertable Objects, browse for the cube for the required member. Here we will search for Golf Equipment from the Product line hierarchy.
