After learning how to upgrade single Hyper-V hosts, let's now take a look at a nice little tool to speed things up when using clustered Hyper-V instances. On Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, the copy cluster roles wizard, formally known as the Cluster Migration Wizard, is available.
With the copy cluster roles wizard, it is possible to move the roles of whole Hyper-V clusters to another Hyper-V cluster, including a cross-version migration of all virtual machines. The copy cluster roles wizard does not initiate cross-version live migration, it requires a manual storage unmap.
