Government Required Benefits

All employers have to provide government required benefits: they must contribute to contribute to Social Security, Medicare, unemployment compensation, and workers' compensation, and provide for military leave. Public employers may be required by federal or state statutes to offer additional benefits, such as retirement or disability. The benefits a private health care organization provides are determined and approved by the board of directors.
