Chapter 4. Using HTTP

There are many ways to make use of an understanding of HTTP. For many, it will serve as an important foundation for Web development skills. For others, perhaps a specific challenge drove the need for this book. I will illustrate a few common tasks that require expertise in HTTP. The more fundamental items are explained in much more detail in Chapters 11-23. There you will find specific examples and more detailed explanations of the most common challenges a Web developer faces.
