Creating Framesets

Now that you know how framesets work, let’s create one.

To create a frameset, you start by determining the number of frames you will use and their sizes and positions. It might be helpful to sketch your design on paper.

Note

This section assumes that you are creating a simple grid of frames, with no combined or split rows or columns. If you want a more complex frame layout, see "Creating More Complex Layouts," later in the chapter.

Next, convert your ideas into the arguments for the <frameset> tag. For example, to have more than one column, use the cols argument and include the widths of each column separated by commas.
