Special Characters
In HTML, nonalphabetical characters that use the SHIFT key should be rendered by entities instead of being typed out. Entities can be in the form of numbers or names, but all begin with an ampersand and end with a semicolon. Some entities aren’t supported by all browsers, so be sure to test your pages in several browsers to ensure they appear as you intend. For more information, visit www.htmlhelp.com/reference/charset.
