Installing Structured-wiring Outlets

One of the best contributions of the ANSI/TIA/EIA 570A standard is a guideline on the number and locations of low-voltage structured-wiring outlets. The standard states that a minimum of one dual or quad outlet for UTP and coaxial cable should be placed in the kitchen, each bedroom, the family or great room, and the den or study. It also recommends that additional outlet locations be provided within unbroken wall spaces of 12 feet or more.
