Several standards are used as guidelines for the installation and design of automated home features. As indicated in previous chapters, the National Electrical Code (NEC), the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), and the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) are important standards organizations associated with the home automation industry.
