Methods of Device Connectivity
The components of various automated home systems are usually connected to the termination points in the home using low-voltage cable. In this section, you will learn about the general classifications for low-voltage cabling as well as communications cabling used for device connectivity.
Communications Cable
Some types of communications cables are suitable for use within the vertical shafts of lifts and elevators. Figure 9.22 depicts a typical 15-pair communications cable designed for installation within the automated lift systems environment.
