Installation Plans and Procedures
The sensors for garage doors require alignment during the installation. The procedure outlined here is typical of almost all types of garage door safety sensor systems.
Reverse Garage Door Sensors
Garage door sensor alignment can be achieved by performing the following steps:
1. | Remove the nut holding one of the sensors in place and add a lock washer under the nut. |
2. | Replace the sensor and tighten the nut with the socket driver. A lock washer will keep the sensor in position. |
3. | Repeat the process with the other sensor. |
4. | Pull a length of string between the two sensor devices to ensure that they are in alignment, as shown in Figure 8.21.
