Telecommunications Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Many of the problems that occur in home telecommunications systems can be solved by following a few simple troubleshooting procedures. More complex problems might require calling a professional installer. Most cable problems can be isolated using a time domain reflectometer (TDR), which is designed to locate data cabling problems. The following tips are typical for the level of troubleshooting that should be followed by the home integrator:
