Step 2: Develop HPI Vision

If you do not have vision, mission, or values statements for your HPI department, or have not recently revisited them, this is the time to do so. Check the HPI statements for alignment with the organizational level statements. It should be clear from the statements how the HPI department contributes to the business as that business is described in the organizational vision, mission, and values.

If you find that the HPI vision, mission, and values statements do not exist, or are seriously out of alignment, take the time to develop aligned statements.
