Chapter 14. Networking Background

This chapter covers the background of UNIX networking and Chapter 15 “Configuring and Using Networking,” covers networking configuration and using networking commands. If you don't have any UNIX background then you want to review this chapter before moving on to the next one. If you have networking background and want to know how to configure UNIX networking and use networking commands then you can jump directly to the Chapter 15.
