NNM does an excellent job of monitoring and displaying the health of the network enterprise. It provides a view of the physical network connectivity of an enterprise. However, it does not provide a logical view of the network because it has no way of determining the logical relationships that exist within a given enterprise. Although customization exists within NNM, Customer Views (CV) extends the capabilities of NNM by allowing the administrator to define a logical hierarchy comprised of five additional views.
