The Eleventh Step:
“Through prayer and meditation, I seek to increase contact with God, as I interpret Him, praying for knowledge of His will and the courage to carry it out.”
The original (and wordier) 12th step refers to God, “…as we understand Him.” Isn’t that like saying we make up our own image to worship and hit Him up for help? God, as I picture Him, looks and sounds like Henry Kissinger to the 100th power, although He probably doesn’t need glasses or a Harvard Ph.D.
