Chapter 3 First impressions

Your interviewer will form a frighteningly large part of their opinion of you on the basis of a very small pro- portion of the time they spend with you. In fact, the first few moments will tell them a great deal about you, whether you like it or not. Your best defence against this, of course, is to make sure you send out the messages you want.

From the way you dress to the way you say hello, you can prepare yourself to give the best possible first impression. In fact, why not start before you even get to the day of the interview? You can influence your interviewer’s opinion:
