About the author

Alan Barker is Managing Director of Kairos Training Limited, a training consultancy devoted to developing people’s skills in thinking and communicating. He has been training and coaching since 1989, and was an actor and director prior to that. Alan has an MA from the University of Cambridge and is a member of the UK Speechwriters Guild. He is the published author of 14 books, including Improve Your Communication Skills, How to Manage Meetings, Creativity at Work and The Alchemy of Innovation.
