Good fortune!

Mike’s rules

Fortune favours the prepared mind and the carefully planned project.

Very often, good fortune is of our own making. But it takes hard work and careful consultation to set up the conditions for success. No one can guarantee you that – even if you do everything right. But that is not the offer of How to Manage a Great Project: what I offered was that, if you follow my eight steps, you remain in control of your project. You can never be in control of events but, by doing the right things and by doing them well, you will increase your chances of success. This is what the best project managers do, day after day, all over the world.
