Social Media

Social media describes the diverse and growing range of Internet-based platforms, networks, and applications (apps) that all offer a way for everyone with access to create, share, and exchange ideas and information.

Social media is democratic; it allows everyone a way to get their message out into the public domain. It offers us the ability to freely publish our content, and precisely because of this unlimited freedom, there is, sadly, plenty that is poor, unprofessional, somewhat dodgy, and highly undesirable. Yet, there is also a wealth of well-written and curated resources, offering us a dynamic range of personal and business opportunities to learn from and engage with others.
