Key to a successful survey follow-up interview is a clear description of what additional information is required and identification of which areas to question. The interviewer also needs to know the basis for requesting the additional information.

Questions

Questions are the main tool of the interviewer, and they should be carefully planned to obtain the information required. You do not want the interview to begin with a question such as:

Why are you dissatisfied with our compensation program?
