Chapter 11. TABULATING AND COMPILING SURVEY RESULTS

If we do not find anything pleasant, at least we shall find something new.

—VOLTAIRE, Candide

Once survey responses have been tabulated, you will receive a report in the format you requested. Most often, that will consist of:

Populations of employees by total participants and demographics

Question responses by dimensions and subareas

A report broken down by requested demographics

Written responses broken down by departments

Any requested correlations

Any requested comparisons

Any requested comments or analysis

Your first action should be to review the reported results and identify any additional information needed for understanding and analysis.
