If surveys are conducted annually, you should stay with a date close to that of the previous survey unless there is a reason for a change. This assists in maintaining consistency and contributes to the ability to compare results between surveys.

If you are conducting a survey for the first time, give consideration to selecting a date that will lend itself to repeating in future years. Also, select a date when most employees are available. Consider employee vacations, busy times of the year, holidays, and any requirements unique to a location.
