Who to Survey

To a large extent, who to survey is based on what you are surveying. The key consideration is to identify which employees have the needed information. Page 2 of the Employee Opinion Survey Planning Form is reproduced in Figure 4-1. It begins with the heading Who to Survey, and that is followed by two columns headed Grouping and Number.

Obviously, if you are surveying all conditions of employment and all employees, your determination of who to survey is complete. Under the heading, just write All Locations and All Employees. However, if you are not going to survey all employees, you need to identify which employees to include. You begin by considering location.
