When an employee opinion survey is initiated, it is generally greeted quite positively by employees. They react favorably to having their opinions asked, but they expect to receive some form of feedback. If the survey includes a commitment for feedback, and this is communicated to the employees at the time they participate, their degree of positive perception of the survey further increases. All in all, an employee opinion survey is an opportunity to improve morale and communications as well as to obtain information.
