Understanding your team

We often spend more time interacting with people at work than we do with our family and friends. However, how well do you really know your team members? Do you understand what motivates them? Can you tell if they are enthusiastic or frustrated with what they are doing?

An important aspect of coaching your team is for both you and the team to become more aware of each other and how you all work together. One of the secrets of good team work and good team coaching is making the most of the diversity in the team. Diversity brings with it different perspectives and the opportunity for greater creativity. However it also has the potential to create conflict, misunderstanding and disagreement.
