THE ULTIMATE REJECTION-FREE RECRUITING STRATEGIES

As pointed out previously, fear of rejection often causes networkers to freeze. Even though we’re all aware that rejection doesn’t involve physical danger or cause injury, some people dread it so much that they become paralyzed and can’t move forward in their work and lives. But what if rejection were not a factor? What if there were nothing to fear? That’s a very real possibility if you use the strategies described in this chapter.

To proceed, you’ll need an open mind. Don’t negate a particular method just because it doesn’t immediately appeal to you; conversely, don’t assume that those that do initially appeal to you will work for everyone in your organization. It’s all a matter of personal preference, so review the information here from just one perspective—your own.

These strategies were developed by many different leaders who created ones that worked for them. Why, they figured, should anyone attempt to force-feed their preferred tactics to others merely because they worked for them? It can challenge a leader’s ego to accept that no one has a lock on any strategy, and that there is no one-size-fits-all universally effective recruiting approach. This does not contradict the idea of duplication in terms of following a system such as The Five Step System mentioned earlier. I’m referring to strategies and tactics within a larger duplicable system or process for building your business.
