Focusing on strengths seems like a recent phenomenon triggered by popular books such as Flow, by Dr. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, and Soar with Your Strengths, by Dr. Don Clifton of Gallup. For the past 20 years, there has been an increasing momentum around this topic. However, the first person on record to take a strong stance regarding the topic of a strengths focus occurred nearly 50 years ago. It was the legendary Peter Drucker, who originally wrote:
