Multiple SSIDs

One of the most exciting features of several high-end APs is the ability to support multiple SSIDs. By having each SSID point to a unique VLAN, you can create some very flexible security profiles. For example, a public SSID can map to a VLAN with one set of security rules, while a private SSID can map to a different VLAN with a very different set of security rules.

In the past, if you wanted to isolate wireless networks on to separate wired networks, you had to have a separate AP for each physical network.
