Software Options for Free Hotspots
If you want to set up your own hotspot for free public access, there are a number of software options to help you along the way. Sputnik offers a free Linux distribution that can turn your PC into hotspot. Basically, you burn a CD and use it to boot your PC. You attach a Prism-based wireless card and that's it!
