EVERYBODY and their neighbor has a digital camera. Digital cameras are great for taking candid photos, as well as more professional portraits and the like.

It doesn’t matter which type of digital camera you have; the photos you take are all saved in some sort of digital image format. There are a variety of image formats; the most popular of which is the JPEG format used by most point-and-shoot digital cameras. JPEG images are also ubiquitous on the Internet; the images you see on just about any web page are probably in the JPEG format.
