Key Points

Hot Spots are emergent phenomena; they cannot be summoned forth or controlled. Their development requires a move from the old rules of domination to the new rules of emergence, under which relationships, purposeful conversation, and boundary spanning are crucial and the emphasis is on ignition of latent energy supported by unique signature processes. Fundamentally, Hot Spots are events during which value is created by exploiting what is currently known and exploring what is currently unknown.
