Artificial intelligence. The study of computational techniques for symbol manipulation where the structures have an intended interpretation that is expressive of knowledge or other things relevant to our understanding of human intelligence or the understanding of behaviour that we recognize as intelligent.

Compiled knowledge. In the case where knowledge is expressed such that the reasons why it holds together are not also expressed, the knowledge is said to be compiled.

Concept. A concept is an abstraction we make on people's ability to make judgements. We can say of persons who can add up, divide, etc. that they have the ‘concept’ of number. In this way of speaking, to have a concept is to have a certain ability ...
