Determining the Number of Honeypots

Based on the criteria described so far, you should be able to identify the honeypot technology that best suits your organization. The next decision is how many honeypots to deploy.

For very large organizations with multiple networks, just one honeypot may not do the job; several honeypots deployed throughout the organization may be required. This is especially true of production honeypots, where different networks may require different honeypots to help secure the environment.
