Summary

Honeynets are a high-interaction honeypot. In fact, they are most likely the most high interaction solution possible. A Honeynet is not a commercial solution you can buy or install but an architecture that creates a highly controlled environment. Table 11-1 summarizes their advantages and disadvantages.

We have just spent six chapters covering the different types of honeypots, how they work, and their advantages and disadvantages. We will now spend several chapters on how you can successfully select, deploy, and maintain honeypots within your own organization.
