In this chapter, you learned how to configure the PCs on your network so that they can use the network to communicate. You saw that the Windows XP Network Setup Wizard makes short work of this task. You also learned how to change computer and workgroup names in earlier versions of Windows. Finally, you saw one example of how to connect a router for sharing Internet access.

In the next chapter, you learn how to make your network secure. A lot of dangers are out there just waiting to do damage, so it's vitally important for you to use the proper tools to keep your home network safe.
