Everyone loves Al Roker, and Willard Scott is simply a legend (the “Walter Cronkite of weather,” if you will), but sadly, most of us don’t keep tabs on our favorite weather personalities anymore. Mobile devices changed that forever.

The advent of awesome weather apps for smartphones and tablets has made retrieving up-to-the-minute weather information as simple as tapping an app’s icon on a screen. In just a few seconds, you can know what’s going on right now weather-wise in your hometown or in Rome, Italy (or both simultaneously, if Rome happens to be your hometown, but I digress).
