Cleaning house is simply the most fun one can have on a daily basis. I don’t know anyone who would rather be at the beach or taking a Caribbean cruise when he or she could be cleaning windows or vacuuming the floor. There’s simply no comparison: laundry detergent over tanning lotion any day of the week, right?

Oh, who am I kidding? The previous paragraph was aimed more at impressing my mom than expressing the actual disdain of most folks for breaking their backs cleaning the house every evening after a long day at the office. Truth be told, if we could just close our eyes and twitch our noses to make all the trash go away, we’d all be quite pleased.

Let’s step out of fantasyland for a moment. There’s always washing of some kind to be done, trash of some kind to be tossed out, items of some kind to be put away, flooring surfaces of some kind to be cleaned, and glass of every kind that needs wiping. And if you have children, multiply those tasks exponentially!
