The Critical First Three Steps

images

The first three steps of the 4MAT Model are critical because the trainer must decide what the concept focus will be, and then create an experiential activity that will encompass that choice to begin. Step two, the Quadrant One, Left Mode step, follows easily if the concept choice is a good one. Group members examine and discuss the experience in some analytic form. Step three, the Quadrant Two, Right Mode step, must reflect the concept experience and analysis in some medium other than verbal, some image form. The images lead the learners right into the knowledge.
