Past Performance as the Best Predictor

PAST PERFORMANCE in previous jobs is the best indicator of what the candidate is likely to do in the future. Performance is everything. As Henry Ford said, “You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.”

You should resolve to hire based on proven past performance only. It is not how good the person looks or how much you like someone, nor the person’s wonderful personality. All that matters is what the individual has done in the past.
