Technology can make everyone's life easier and more difficult at the same time. When new technologies arrive, most of us think of all the new, good things that we can do. There is always someone, however, who sees a new technology and dreams up ways to scam, steal, or otherwise use the new technology for his or her own personal profit. We saw this with cell phones, credit cards, and computers in general. There is little reason to expect that criminals will stop trying to misuse technology for their own benefit.

It is up to us to know the risks with technology, so we can use it wisely.
